A fresh era is waiting for Diablo 4 players. During the Campfire Chat, Blizzard announced huge changes to the game that make it distinctly different, and I want to say better, in Season 4.
Aside from pretty standard improvements, like new dungeons and bosses, the studio reworked the equipment upgrading system. Stats on loot have been simplified, and crafting now resembles Last Epoch, as noted by PC Gamer. You can reroll your Temper upgrades a limited number of times, and the result might add some sweet modifications to your skills, for example. Then, take the item to the new Masterworking system to randomly increase one of the stats. Overall, customization is now more layered.

What I appreciate the most, though, is the class-aware loot filter. Items irrelevant to you, which you can't use, won't drop anymore. Speaking of loot, you will be able to trade Legendary and Unique items with other players, plus Legendary aspects will be available in the Codex of Power.

There are also some quality-of-life changes, which you can see in the live stream. To integrate all these improvements, Blizzard delayed Season 4 until May 14. PTR players will be able to enjoy the new stuff on April 2 to 9.
