Check out Sketch Crawler – a new deck-building roguelike RPG from STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl creators where you can voice the characters and create your own cards or items by drawing them.
In the game, which is currently in Early Access on Steam, you play as the Doodlers who have to rescue the King of Cartoons from the "evil plots of warlocks and tricksters" by fighting in a turn-based card combat. Players are able to find cards along the way as well as modify those cards by redrawing them and making them unique. In addition, there is also an ability to draw characters who will become your allies.
Colors in the game have their own power too. For instance, if you add color to a creature, it will gain new abilities and powers, and adding color to a magic spell will significantly enhance it.
Currently, Sketch Crawler has four main locations, 300+ characters, and 300+ magic cards, however, the game is not finished yet – according to the developers, they will continue to work on it by adding new card mechanics, locations, quests, and characters.
"Sketch Crawler is a roguelike with procedural generation. This is why the game is different every time and has a giant potential to keep coming back to. One day you got one card, the next day – another. A great variety of combinations of game elements allows you to play for a very long time," Sytyanov said.
