Fable Reboot Will Be Powered By ForzaTech Engine

Playground Games is using familiar tech.

The developers of the next Fable game, currently being developed for Windows 10 PC and Xbox Series S|X, have been quiet for a while. We know Playground Games is responsible for it, but other than that little is know about the project.

Thanks to a new Software Engineer job listing posted by Turn 10 on LinkedIn we now know that the game is being made with the ForzaTech engine.

"Do you want to have a major impact on 3 AAA titles in development across 2 beloved Xbox franchises? ForzaTech is the engine, tools, and pipelines that drive both the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon series of games. In addition to adding new features like raytracing to support the next console generation, we are also enriching the toolset to support an open-world action RPG – Fable," states the description.

The Playground team knows all about the ForzaTech engine as they've been using it for many years. Do you think they'll upgrade the engine for their huge open-world game?
