Galaxy XR, the first Android-based XR headset, has just launched, with Unity developer support now open to everyone. Brad Lynch tested the headset's tracking capabilities using the Lumina avatar and noted that with the latest OpenXR update, it can detect more visemes, like tongue movements.
According to Brad, currently, only ALXR supports this new extension update. Here's another demo of Galaxy XR's tracking capabilities, along with the microphone test from Nanochip:
Nanochip says the headset's lenses, resolution, and colors look great, while the microphone is decent but a little quiet. The only issue is that Galaxy XR feels front-heavy and not very comfortable.
