Final Fantasy Creator Launches a Clothing Brand Within FFXIV

Hironobu Sakaguchi has launched his own clothing line called sakaGUCCI that is sold on the in-game marketplace. The price of every item in the line depends on how hard it was to craft it and how expensive the materials were.

Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi has launched his own clothing line within Final Fantasy XIV. Despite the developer hadn't been working on the MMO for nearly two decades, he recently returned to the game posting the chronicles of his adventures on Twitter.

In one of his recent tweets, Sakaguchi shared that he would start selling his new clothing brand that is called sakaGUCCI on the in-game marketplace. The line went on sale on January 26, each crafted item has a sakaGUCCI label on it and can become a collector's item in the game. The price of every item in the line depends on how hard it was to craft it and how expensive the materials were.

Crafted items in FFXIV retain the creator's name. So, if items were crafted within the same world, they will obtain a unique brand name in this world. However, characters can share the same name in different worlds which makes it possible to hand over the items they crafted to characters from other worlds so that there is no way to differentiate between the original and the fake brands.

Sakaguchi asked players not to sell any items with the sakaGUCCI label to make it more fun and warned that if items had been made into an illusion with the Mirage Dresser, the name would be removed.
