First Footage of The Last of Us HBO Show Revealed

The series premiers in 2023.

HBO has shared a little sneak peek of its upcoming The Last of Us adaptation. The 20-second clip at the end of the video showcasing what's coming to HBO Max soon reveals a couple of memorable scenes from Joel and Ellie played by Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones, The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones).

The series is made by Chernobyl's creator Craig Mazin with Naughty Dog's co-president Neil Druckmann involved as an executive producer.

The Last of Us follows Joel, a smuggler tasked with escorting a teenage girl, Ellie, across the post-apocalyptic United States plagued by a disease that transforms people into horrible monsters.

The first season has ten episodes and will be released in 2023.
