Mattew Bromberg will step in the role of CEO at Unity on May 15, replacing interim CEO Jim Whitehurst. Whitehurst served as the Interim CEO after John Riccitiello's departure last October.
Prior to joining Unity, Bromberg held leadership roles at BioWare, where he served as the Group General Manager. He later took on global responsibilities for EA's mobile business for four years until July 2016.
After leaving EA, Bromberg joined Zynga as the Chief Operating Officer, where he worked until 2022.
"I am thrilled to join Unity as it embraces its next chapter," Bromberg stated (via VGC). "I look forward to working with Jim, the Board, and the incredible people of Unity to provide the best-integrated platform for creators to bring great games and experiences to their audiences globally while also helping accelerate the Company's revenue growth and profitability."
As for Whitehurst, he has now been named the Executive Chair of Unity's board.
