Former Mediatonic and Flavourworks Devs Open a New Studio, Electric Saint

The studio aims to create "ambitious, heartfelt" games that will embrace innovative technologies and draw upon the team's shared history in the development of emotionally-driven games.

Former art lead on Fall Guys Anna Hollinrake and Flavourworks co-founder Pavle Mihajlovic have founded a new studio, Electric Saint.

The studio was opened in the fall of 2022 and has since been a part of the London Games Accelerator as well as a recipient of the UK Games Fund.

Anna Hollinrake, art director and game developer, most recently served as an art lead on Fall Guys at Mediatonic. During her time at the studio, she helped establish the Creative Services team from scratch to accommodate the 50-million-player launch of the free-to-play game. She brings eight years of diverse experience to the table, honed across six titles.

Pavle Mihajlovic started his game development journey at the age of 18 as a programmer at 22cans. During his tenure at 22cans, he worked on such projects as Curiosity and Godus, before going on to co-establish Flavourworks. At Flavourworks, he was a part of the team that created Erica, an interactive film video game that was published by Sony across PlayStation, iOS, and Steam.

The studio says that it plans to create "ambitious, heartfelt games" that will embrace innovative technologies and draw upon the team's shared history in the development of emotionally-driven games. Electric Saint has already started working on its debut project which it is yet to announce.

"We care about building dynamic, joyful worlds that are full of light and life, and telling inclusive stories within them. We want Electric Saint to be a beacon of high quality, emotionally resonant, ethical and sustainable game development," Hollinrake commented.

Mihajlovic added: "With new developments in engine technology, and players showing how much they’re willing to support games created by smaller teams, we think that there is a space to give an underserved audience an experience that used to belong to large triple-A teams."
