Free Public Beta Tool For 3D Mesh Cache Viewing
Try MeshCache Studio to review, annotate, compare, and convert mesh cache sequences with ease.
Jasper Brekelmans has launched MeshCache Studio in free public beta, a dedicated tool for viewing and converting animated 3D mesh sequences. MeshCache Studio could be handy for reviewing cloth simulations, validating facial performance captures, debugging physics caches, and preparing assets for delivery.
According to the developer, the tool provides fast playback, professional visualization tools, and flexible export options without requiring the overhead of a full DCC application. Users can simply drag and drop formats such as Alembic, OBJ sequences, PC2, MDD, PLY, USD, or VAT files to begin reviewing immediately.
Playback features intelligent frame caching, frame-by-frame stepping, auto-play, and timeline scrubbing. You can also adjust playback speed from 0.01x to 10x with smooth frame interpolation. Also, load two sequences side by side for synchronized review, compare them using an overlay mode, and add text notes or visual markup to specific frames using drawing tools.
