Global Top Round Announced GTR 2022 Conference

GTR opened applications for ten studios to receive $40,000 funding at its 2022 conference.

Video game accelerator program Global Top Round announced that its annual GTR Conference. GTR 2022 will take place in Luleå, Sweden from November 9 to 10 and will be organized in partnership with the government of Sweden.

The conference will bring together a number of studios, publishers, investors, and influencers and at the end of it, GTR will select 10 studios that will win $40,000 funding as well as development support and access to the biggest global game publishers.

In addition, GTR will also provide further support to select studios helping them boost their business development. These studios may receive further investments between $150,000 and $300,000 from GTR's Seed Program, the newly-launched program that allows studios to pitch themselves and start off with a three-month work plan before any deal is made.

To qualify to be considered for the funding, studios have to apply on the GTR's website to attend GTR 2022 Conference which will be an invite-only event.

"Global Top Round is more than just about investing in games. We’re building an ecosystem or partners that are shaping the future of video game development," VP of Business Development at Global Top Round Pontus Mahler said. "This year we’ll be bringing the brightest studios to Sweden to put their games on the main stage and get them the support they need."
