Half-Life: Alyx Gameplay Revealed

Valve’s upcoming virtual reality game Half-Life: Alyx got three new gameplay videos.

The game launches on March 23rd, and now we know more about its mechanics. The company released three short videos presenting combat and puzzle.

The gameplay is based on semi-realistic gunfights, so you'll have to manually reload while fighting enemies, for example. Valve states that Index controllers will feature extra interaction possibilities.

What is more, unlike Gordon Freeman, Alyx is happy to chat with other characters and that is something new to the Half-Life series.

The game lets players choose between teleportation-style locomotion and free directional movement, and you can, for example, pop behind enemies, take cover, and more.

Add fully procedural dirt and filth to any material for a fast and beautiful result that is easily customised.
