Have a Look at World's First Rollable Display Laptop From Lenovo

Can they now find a way to make a good foldable display?

About two years ago, Lenovo presented a concept laptop with a rollable screen that could expand and contract with the touch of a button. That was just a dream back in the day, of course, as manufacturers were still busy trying to figure out how to craft a good foldable (they still are, to be honest).

This year, Lenovo visited CES 2025 and announced they had solved the puzzle – the company turned the concept into a reality with the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable. The coolest part is that they even made it look similar to the original idea.

When folded, this laptop offers a 14-inch display, but pulling it upward extends the screen to 16.7 inches.

The technology is based on a flexible OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Sounds like it should weigh a ton, right? Actually, no. Despite the additional screen size, the laptop remains relatively lightweight at just 1.7 kg.

Powered by the Intel Core Ultra 200V series (up to a Core Ultra 7), the laptop will bring up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. The device is a Lunar Lake-powered laptop that features Intel Xe2 graphics.

Of course, the price is not that surprising – this laptop will cost $3500 when it goes on sale in the first quarter of this year.

Previously, we wrote about Lenovo's laptop with a transparent display that looks awesome (we just wish we knew what to use it for).
