This first major update since the CEO switched roles seems to be well-received.
Helldivers 2 has rolled out a major update, patch 1.000.400, introducing numerous balance changes for weapons and stratagems. Some of the key highlights include:
- Visible Supply Lines & Attack Origins in the Galactic War.
- Stratagem, weapon, planet, and enemy balancing updates.
- Various crash fixes, stability improvements, and other updates.
- Invite-only lobby creation.

Johan Pilestedt, who transitioned from his CEO position to the role of chief creative officer to spend "MORE time with the team and 100% of my focus on the games and community," has written a blog post on Steam. In it, he explains the reason behind the decision to adjust weapon and stratagem balance.
The update appears to have been well-received by players, as evident in the comment section of the post. Some are hailing it as the best update ever, and some are eager to test the buffs and other enhancements.
Seeing the update being well-received by players certainly brings joy to Johan Pilestedt too, who expresses his delight over the positive response via a Twitter post. He also assures fans that this direction will continue and the team plans for more improvements in the future.
