The fifth annual Summer Game Fest, a worldwide showcase of upcoming video games, is finally back. On Wednesday, the organizers took to Twitter and announced that this year's event will be held on June 7.
The event will feature new game announcements and trailers streaming at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT on various platforms including YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Twitter, Steam, and more.
The 2024 game festival will be held at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster starting May 7. As you know, the opening ceremony will feature the premiere of new game trailers as well as trailers for previously announced games to both in-person attendees and viewers watching online.
Last year, Summer Game Fest 2023 had a total live viewership of over 34 million, which was a 26% increase from the previous year. More than 3.8 million viewers watched the broadcasts at the same time. During the event, we saw trailers for games such as Alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Baldur's Gate 3, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Even though E3 is dead, it's good to know that we can look forward to Summer Game Fest and see what's new is coming.
