Hideo Kojima Launching New Spotify Podcast in September

The Brain Structure podcast will "unravel the genius behind Kojima’s ideas and creative thinking" and will be available both in Japanese and English.

gamescom Opening Night Live brought a number of game announcements and new trailers, including the announcements of Leslie Benzies' EVERYWHERE, Funcom's Dune: Awakening, and Deck13's The Lords of the Fallen as well as two brand new trailers for Dead Island 2.

Renowned game creator Hideo Kojima also appeared at the event sharing some exciting news. The game designer's announcement wasn't, however, a new game or a port of an old game – instead, Kojima revealed that he's starting a podcast called Brain Structure.

The podcast will be exclusively available on Spotify starting in September and, according to the description, will "unravel the genius behind Kojima’s ideas and creative thinking." Brain Structure will feature "very special guests" from various fields including business, technology, and entertainment who will discuss a range of topics – from games, movies, books, and art to philosophy and social landscape.

The first episode will air on September 8 with subsequent episodes being released each Thursday, available both in Japanese and English. The podcast will also include a regular industry news feature hosted by Geoff Keighley, host of Opening Night Live, the Game Awards, Summer Game Fest, and more.

"It’s an ambitious approach to release every episode in both Japanese and English at the same time," Kojima said in the announcement on Spotify's blog. "But I look forward to having a good time getting and sharing creative inspiration with listeners from all over the world."
