The scans were made using the company's mobile face scanner Kate.
Today, let's have a look at some incredibly-realistic 3D face scans shared by Replikate Studio, a company led by Geoffrey Coppin that specializes in developing 3D capture solutions and providing scanning services for film and VFX pipelines.
According to the project's description, these stunning scans were set up using Kate, the company's mobile face scanner that features a polarized led array and gives the team "full control over the 331 points of light at 360 degrees", as well as Blender Cycles. The creators also note that the renders underwent Replikate's Standard processing package and are raw compared to their Premium package, which includes model and texture cleaning.
