Hogwarts Legacy keeps taking every possible chart by storm. A couple of days ago, its physical sales made it the most successful Harry Potter game release in the UK. Now, digital data has arrived and revealed that Hogwarts Legacy is the biggest game launch outside of FIFA and Call of Duty since Red Dead Redemption 2.
According to Christopher Dring, Head of Gamesindustry.biz, the game's opening week was 56% bigger across Europe than Elden Ring.
"It backs up the theory that gamers are gravitating towards the big brands at the moment," he commented.
Dring also mentions that the title has already outsold the best-selling Metroid game in just a week.
Despite the overwhelming popularity, Hogwarts Legacy still has some performance issues, although fans are quick to suggest solutions. Some are already working on a multiplayer mod, so expect to see even more content in the coming months.
