The upcoming Vive Focus 3 headset will have a 5K screen and will be released on June 27th.
HTC has announced Vive Focus 3, an enterprise-oriented headset with a sharp 5K resolution and 120° field of view. Much like its predecessor, Vive Focus Plus, this is a self-contained product that uses inside-out tracking instead of external sensors and is designed for business customers. What is different though is the price. Vive Focus 3 will cost 1300$, while both Vive Focus Plus and Quest 2 business-edition cost 800$.
But considering the released specs of the upcoming headset, the increased price is more than justified. Here are some of them:
- 2,448 x 2,448 (6.0MP) Per-Eye Resolution
- Refresh Rate of 90Hz
- Dual-Element Fresnel Lenses
- 120° Diagonal Field-of-view
- 2 Hours Battery Life
- And more.
