Intel and NVIDIA Are Powering New Workstations with Latest Xeon CPUs & RTX 6000

The workstations "bring together the highest levels of AI computing, rendering and simulation horsepower".

Intel and NVIDIA announced that they are powering new workstations with the latest Xeon CPUs and RTX 6000 GPUs along with ConnectX-6 SmartNIC adapters.

The workstations boast Intel Xeon W and Intel Xeon Scalable processors, NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation graphics cards, and ConnectX-6 SmartNICs. Combined, they are meant to "bring together the highest levels of AI computing, rendering and simulation horsepower to tackle demanding workloads across data science, manufacturing, broadcast, media and entertainment, healthcare and more."

“Professionals require advanced power and performance to run the most intensive workflows, like using AI, rendering in real time or running multiple applications simultaneously,” said Bob Pette, vice president of professional visualization at NVIDIA. “The new Intel- and NVIDIA-Ada powered workstations deliver unprecedented speed, power and efficiency, enabling professionals everywhere to take on the most complex workflows across all industries.”

The solution provides computing resources enough for heavy tasks, like creating metaverse applications, XR apps for collaborative work, and more.

The Xeon W-3400 and Xeon W-2400 series processors promise "unprecedented scalability for increased workload performance". Intel Xeon w9-3495X, for example, delivers up to 28% more single-threaded and 120% more multi-threaded performance over the previous-generation Xeon W processors.

The new generation of workstations is already available for preorder from BOXX and HP.
