JJ Abrams: Portal Movie Is Still Happening
The director states that the script is finally being written.
J.J. Abrams told IGN that a movie based on Valve’s Portal is still in development. The director also noted that a script is finally being written. "We actually do have a script that’s being written for the Portal movie now at Warner Bros. We’re really excited about the take and the pitch, so it feels like that thing’s finally on the rails,” said JJ Abrams.
The team announced a plan to develop a movie back in 2013. Unfortunately, it was eight years ago and we still haven't heard much about the project. It appears though that with all the movies based on games in the works, like the Resident Evil film, Mortal Kombat, and other adaptations, the team thinks it's now a perfect moment to take the next step.
