KIRI Engine: A Free Photogrammetry App for Mobile Phones

This AI-powered app can turn images of real-world objects into textured 3D models.

If you were looking for a quick and easy way to create 3D models using photogrammetry, here's a neat app that might be the exact tool you needed. Meet KIRI Engine, a free 3D scanning app for iOS and Android, developed by Kiri Innovation, a Canadian company that specializes in photogrammetry, and powered by a state-of-the-art photogrammetry algorithm. With this app, it is possible to create high-quality 3D assets with just a smartphone by taking pictures of an object from various angles and heights.

What's more, the app utilizes AI and machine learning to automatically remove noise from the 3D scan. The processing itself is done in the cloud, with users uploading images, choosing one out of three quality presets, and downloading the generated model in either OBJ or FBX format.
