The game has been in internal playtest "nearly daily for well over a year."

Following yesterday's unveiling of new concept art and a modern time setting for Electronic Arts' next Battlefield, more details about the game have been released. The company says it has been tested internally almost daily "for well over a year" now, and they are also planning to conduct a "large-scale, community-driven testing program early next year."
This is according to Byron Beede, the General Manager of Battlefield, who spoke at the live stream of EA's Investor Day 2024 show to discuss the development progress and the focus of each of the four studios involved in the development.
"I also want to share with you that internally, we’ve been playing the game nearly daily for well over a year,” said Beede. “In addition to internal testing cycles, we’re already testing with players, and we plan to introduce a new large-scale, community-driven testing program early next year."
According to Beede, the four studios working on the next Battlefield game, DICE, Motive, Criterion, and Ripple Effect, each have their own focus. DICE has been "leading the charge on multiplayer"; Motive, whose members were moved to either an Iron Man project or the new Battlefield game after the remake of Dead Space launched last year failed to meet EA's expectations, "brings their rich history in single player storytelling and action to the Battlefield mix"; Criterion is working on both single-player and multiplayer and Ripple Effect, which has undergone restructuring after the underwhelming launch of Battlefield 2042, which saw the last season this April, is "working a new Battlefield experience fuelled by our unique Battlefield DNA that’s been testing really well with players.”
DICE
Battlefield 2042 was met with a modest reception. Therefore, EA has placed great hope in the upcoming game and set up the "largest, strongest, and most focused team in the history of Battlefield." Meanwhile, they also showed great ambition for it. In January of this year, a job description of Ripple Effect studio revealed that they wanted to create "the most realistic and exciting destruction effects in the industry."
With the community-driven test coming in a few months, it wouldn’t take much time to see players' feedback on this game.
