It seems that Ripple Effect, the studio owned by Electronic Arts and formerly known as DICE LA, is aiming to create a new Battlefield game that will have "the most realistic and exciting destruction effects in the industry".

"We are looking for a Senior 3D Artist like you to help us create the most realistic and exciting destruction effects in the industry. You will report to our Art Line Manager, based in our studio in Los Angeles, CA. We are looking for candidates located in Vancouver with remote options," reads the description of the VFX Director's position.

Ripple Effect is among the several studios involved in the ongoing development of the Battlefield franchise, which has undergone restructuring after the underwhelming launch of Battlefield 2042.

The latest installment in the Battlefield series has faced harsh criticism on multiple fronts. One primary point of contention revolves around the perceived absence of impactful destruction, which has historically been a defining element of the series. However, this issue may potentially be addressed in the upcoming entry.

Speaking of EA, recently EA Sports FC 24 lost its title as the UK's top boxed game launch, giving way to Hogwarts Legacy.
