Learn How to Add Accents to Your Animations with Impact Frames

Check out a new guide by Pierrick Picaut.

Pierrick Picaut, a 3D Artist renowned for sharing tutorials on Blender for rigging and animation, presented a new educational video covering the fundamentals of impact frames. Apart from the explaining the basics, the artist shared techniques to design impact frames and implement them in animations.

The artist explained that impact frames are stylized shots, usually monochromatic, which are added to dynamic moments in animations to emphasize them. It can be an explosion, a gun shot, a punch, etc. Pierrick Picaut shared that he used such type of accents a lot in his projects and broke down the entire pipeline of creating them in Blender, paying attention to contrast, directionality, and expressionism.
