LIDAR 3D Scanning App For iPhone Pro

The real-time LIDAR scanner app called Polycam can now be used on iPhone Pro.

Developers John Stalbaum, Elliott Spelman, and Chris Heinrich released a new version of Polycam, their iOS app that turns Apple devices into low-cost LIDAR scanners.

The tool uses the LIDAR sensor in the latest Apple solution to create textured 3D scans of objects or environments when you walk around them, and you can even watch the mesh building up in real-time.

Users can now process a "3,000 sq ft house or larger". What is more, Polycam can now be used on the new iPhone 12 Pro and upcoming iPhone 12 Pro Max.
