Magic Nodes: Node Compositing in After Effects

A tool to help you combine nodes and layers.

Hollywood Illusion released Magic Nodes – a node-based compositing extension for After Effects. It allows you to "combine the power of node compositing with the efficiency of layers", so artists don't have to choose one of the two workflows.

You can visually blend elements together using nodes and then adjust their time and duration with After Effects' layers. Adding a node automatically adds a layer to the Layers and Timeline panels, which makes work faster and easier. What's more, Magic Nodes removes the need to create precomps, reducing memory usage.

Magic Nodes works on Mac and Windows with After Effects 2017+. Perpetual licenses cost $89 and $149.
