You'll see familiar locations and quest cues.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 promises to be just as exciting as many fans want it to be if its new gameplay video is any indication. Senior Creative Director Bryan Intihar talked about the game's open world, a variety of costumes, and much more.
When you start the game, you'll immediately see that New York is now almost twice larger than before with the addition of Queens and Brooklyn, and you can freely explore all its nooks and crannies.
To traverse the city, you now have web-wings in addition to the standard web-swinging, allowing you to get to familiar locations like Peter Parker’s Midtown High and Miles Morales’ school faster than ever. Intihar also promises that you can move across the city with very little downtime thanks to PlayStation 5's power.

As we already know, you'll be able to explore with either character you want, but some missions require a certain Spider-Man to step up, and Intihar says that PS5 made the switch between the two almost instant.
It's easy to get distracted with such a big map, so Insomniac Games added visual cues for new activities and storylines, "such as a flock of Kraven’s Talon Drones circling a building, a mysterious symbol projected into the sky, or even an unfamiliar Spider-Bot ping emitting from one of the rooftops." These activities fill up the new district progress system, which provides more rewards and unlocks our brand-new fast travel system.

You might not want to play as a generic Spider-Man, so Insomniac allows you to customize them with additional combat abilities and traversal skills, new gadgets, upgrades, and Spider suits. You can choose from over 65 suits from the comics, movies, and original designs, and a new suit styles system will let you have more than 200 different ways to dress your character.
