The mod might be available as early as January 2022.
A well-known VR modder Luke Ross revealed he's working on a Cyberpunk VR mod which should be released soon. The mod is next on Ross’ to-do list after Pateron followers voted for the game in a poll. Previously, the enthusiast released VR mods for other big titles including Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2, and the Mafia trilogy. Ross noted that "if nothing goes wrong, I’d say it should come out in January."
Ross' mods can be played with a gamepad but also support full VR head-tracking. Developer CD Projekt Red previously noted they didn’t plan to add VR support for the game so it's the closest we can get to VR with this title.
"Now that my modding framework is approaching some level of maturity, I can probably release one game per month (on average)," Luke Ross told PC Gamer. "Of course that depends on the specific challenges that each game poses, and there's always a possibility that a certain game turns out not to be moddable at all due to some unforeseen issues."
Please note that Ross shares his mods via Patreon, so you'd need to sign up if you want access to test this and other mods. You can find his page here.
