Nekcom Raises $8m to Boost International Expansion
The company has also announced the launch of a new US studio.

Chinese studio Nekcom announced it raised $8 million in a round of Series A funding to boost game development, R&D, and international expansion. The latest round was led by Galaxy Interactive. Firm partner and co-head Ryan You will be joining Nekcom's board of directors.
The company is known for developing Dying: 1883 and Dying: Reborn. They are now making a post-apocalyptic title for PlayStation and PC, titled Showa American Story.
Previously, to boost its international growth, the Wuhan-based studio made Kimmy Li CEO of Nekcom USA. Li will be leading a team in the US at a new office in Manhattan, New York.
"The U.S. has been strategically important for Nekcom since day one, as we are focused on our high-level console and PC game development," wrote Nekcom founder and chairman Xiangyu Luo. "Our development team in China will benefit from her vast business experience as we continue development of both our Dying and Showa series."
