Blenshapes support, AutoPhysics updated with character interaction, Separation Motion Physics tool, and more.
In the video above, you can see a preview of Separation Motion Physics shared by Cascadeur's Founder Eugene Dyabin. This tool will allow to smooth the character's rotation and motion by enabling users to change poses, for example, to shift limbs or bend the body.
Cascadeur 2024.2, due for release in August, will also receive blendshapes support and further improvements of AutoPhysics system with character interaction and extended functionality to support the swinging rotational motion of the character around the "grabbing" points. This will allow it to solve pendulum-like animations, such as a character performing swings on a horizontal bar.
Among other planned changes are quality-of-life and performance updates. For example, a new option called "Calculate interpolation only on visible interval" will limit the calculation to the interval currently visible on the timeline and allow working with scenes that contain thousands of frames.
