New Automatic Unwrapping Standalone App Unwrella IO Preview

In this one-minute preview of automatic unwrapping with just a few clicks, tools developer 3d-io showcased Unwrella-IO, a new app for optimal UV unwrapping with a natural UI and user-friendly controls for creating UVs.

Last month, 3d-io released Packer-IO, a free standalone UV packing tool based on the technology behind the UV-Packer plug-in, so it's natural to assume Unwrella-IO will be acting the same but for another one of the developer's main tools, Unwrella, the UV unwrapping and packing plug-in for 3ds Max and Maya.

After all, in this short demo, both the interface and workflows closely resemble UV-Packer with the drag-and-drop functionality, Checker Maps, and "5 seconds" unwrap process:

At the time of writing, there is no additional information about this software, according to the preview Unwrella-IO is "coming soon".
