New Substance Painter Lets You Hide A Geometry Mask And More

Adobe presented a new Substance Painter release that allows users to hide a geometry mask and copy/paste effects.

The team has also added UX improvements to make your life easier, but the main focus is new features for better flexibility.

First, you can now isolate parts of your model that you want to access and get comfortable painting. This ability is available both in your default workflow, plus in your UV Tiles workflow. The team has also shared a tutorial that will help you get started. You can find it below.

The new version also provides the ability to copy and paste effects, from one layer to another, and between texture sets. The team noted that copy/paste actions are now all consistent in the layer stack for layers, effects, and geometry masks.

They've also released 3 new tool presets to add stitches in your texture. What you get is 3 tool presets, 26 combinations, and a number of parameters.
