New Updates on GTAV and GTA Online

The new updates on GTAV and GTA Online are coming our way with the launch of the game on PS5 and Xbox series X and S. The updates include changes in the Contract, graphics improvements, and the new standalone GTA Online for PS5.

As Grand Theft Auto is about to enter its third console generation, Rockstar Games announced new updates are coming our way including improved graphics, Short Trips access, Career Builder, and many more.

The recent update on GTA Online – the Contract – released on December 15, 2021, has brought the players new gameplay including Security Contracts, Payphone Hits, and the ability to participate in the Short Trips co-op story missions playing for Franklin and Lamar. With the news updates, the players will have the opportunity to access Short Trips straight away from the Jobs menu not having to complete The Contract’s story missions. Official versions of Dr. Dre’s tracks will also be available for music streaming services.

With the launch of GTAV and GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox series X and S coming on March 15, the developers promise to bring new graphics modes to the game, with up to 4K resolution and up to 60 frames per second. They also ensured that texture and draw distance would also be upgraded. Besides, the update will include faster loading times and immersive 3D audio.

Those who currently play GTAV and GTA Online on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to transfer their GTAV Story Mode progress as well as GTA Online characters and progression to the new consoles at launch. Besides, the developers announced that GTA Online will have a new standalone version for PlayStation 5 available for free for the first three months to PS5 users.

In a new version, the players of GTA Online will be able to skip the GTAV Story Mode prologue before entering Online. Besides, the game will offer the new GTA Online Tutorial. For the new players, the Career Builder will be available, where they can choose one of four businesses: Biker, Executive, Nightclub Owner, or Gunrunner. Those who already played GTA Online will also have the access to the Career Builder if they wish to restart their characters.

Rockstar has also confirmed that a new Grand Theft Auto is coming our way. "With the unprecedented longevity of GTAV, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered – and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway,"  reported the developers.
