Stéphane Ginier, the creator of Nomad Sculpt, has showcased one of the exciting updates for the upcoming version of his popular mobile sculpting and painting app for both Android and iOS. As he revealed, Nomad Sculpt 2.3 will introduce support for USD, Pixar's powerful framework for exchanging 3D graphics data between different applications.
Now, artists will be able to create, share, and manage 3D scenes more efficiently. However, according to Stéphane, only the UsdPreviewSurface will be supported initially. There will also be support for lights and cameras, although it's unlikely to be a 1:1 mapping.
Nomad Sculpt has recently been updated to version 2.0, bringing multiple fixes and new functionality, including improvements to the interface, pivot controls, post-processing features, and more. One notable addition, for example, is the Randomize option in Repeaters:
