NVIDIA has announced its #WinterArtChallenge, inviting NVIDIA Studio and Omniverse artists of varying levels of expertise to participate. The challenge is open to creatives from all over the world. Whether in 2D or 3D, entries can be created using your preferred design software but must be winter-themed.
To participate, simply share your winter scene on social media using the hashtag #WinterArtChallenge and tag the creative software you used. The challenge is running through the end of the year, so you only have a few weeks left to craft your entry.
Artist Andrew Averkin designed a glistening winter wonderland with Autodesk 3ds Max and NVIDIA Omniverse™ Create, complete with frosted gingerbread houses and snowpeople.
Within Omniverse, you can connect to your favorite 3D design tools like Autodesk Maya, Adobe Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, and others to collaborate between them in real-time. Omniverse also offers free and paid assets from asset libraries such as Turbosquid, ActorCore, CGTrader, Sketchfab, and many more to help bring your ideas to life faster than ever.
Start the #WinterArtChallenge by downloading NVIDIA Omniverse for free, joining the challenge Discord channel for help, and watching live streams and tutorials on YouTube. The latest stream saw Omniverse community member Jeremy Lightcap and Adobe Substance’s Pierre Maheut share amazing tips and tricks on texture and material work within Adobe Substance and Omniverse while creating photorealistic holiday ornaments.
