Users can now upload images to transfer styles.
Nvidia has released a new version of its Canvas app which now lets users add custom styles. You can upload images as style sources – the app will study the images and transfer the visual style to a new image generated by Canvas.
NVIDIA Canvas uses a form of AI using a generator and a discriminator. The generator converts material maps into images. The discriminator studies features of various objects and transfers this information to the generator to turn doodles into nice images preserving the given style. The network was trained on an NVIDIA DGX system using over 5 million images.
The app is available in beta for Windows 10 for those who own Nvidia GeForce RTX, Titan RTX, Quadro RTX or RTX GPU. In case you own an older GPU or other processor, you can test the tech via Nvidia’s GauGAN web app.
