Open World UE5 Game With Flight, Helicopters & God of War-Style Kukri

Check out KARMA, an upcoming indie game being created by Ashim Shakya.

Over the past week, Solo Game Developer and Digital Artist Ashim Shakya shared several new demos providing a closer look at KARMA, an upcoming open-world exploration game being developed using Unreal Engine 5.

For context, it's worth noting that the game has been in development for quite some time, with the developer mentioning that it's been five years since the initial concept sketches for KARMA were created. The first gameplay demos were unveiled in 2022, revealing that the game's world will feature realistic 3D environments inspired by medieval Nepal and allow players to take on the role of either a flying human or an eerie four-legged creature.

The recently unveiled demos have delivered the much-anticipated update on KARMA, shedding light on some of the exciting gameplay elements the game brings to the table. The first demo, embedded above, offered a glimpse into the game's expansive open world and introduced a fascinating Khukuri mechanic, reminiscent of God of War's Leviathan Axe.

The second demo, attached below, treated viewers to 16 minutes of helicopter gameplay, showcasing the helicopters themselves and unveiling the breathtaking landscapes, villages, cities, and other remarkable features that KARMA has to offer.

And here are the earlier demos shared by the developer:
