Following its acquisition by Embracer Group, the Chinese publisher Perfect World Entertainment announced that it has been rebranded as Gearbox Publishing. The company said that the name change will not affect its current roadmap – it will continue working on such projects as Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, and Have a Nice Death.
The company also noted that titles that were previously released under the Perfect World Entertainment brand including games like Remnant: From the Ashes and the Torchlight trilogy will remain under the Gearbox Publishing umbrella, with more games coming.
"We’re appreciative of you enjoying our games and joining us on this journey to new horizons," the publisher said in a statement. "The new partnership means bigger and better things, and we can’t wait to show you all the new experiences we’ve been working on as Gearbox Publishing."
