Nick Kallen launched Plasticity 2025.2, a major update to the popular "CAD for Artists" software. This release brings a wide range of new tools and enhancements, with a strong focus on surface modeling and workflow efficiency.
Plasticity 2025.2 introduces G0-G2 surface alignment through the new Align command (powered by xNURBS), along with Measure Continuity and Measure Curvature commands for analysis. The update also adds fillet shell tension control and region-based Boolean operations. Additional enhancements include isoparametric subdivision, advanced selection tools, and expanded capabilities for imprinting, sweeping, and trimming.
As for usability improvements, it's now possible to duplicate group hierarchies recursively, use customizable visual zoom, and enjoy a better rendering experience with HDRI environments and a library of 34 physical materials.
