
Playdigious, a French publishing company, has appointed Abrial Da Costa as its new CEO. Da Costa will take over for outgoing CEO and co-founder Xavier Liard on July 3.
Da Costa will be leaving his current job as a chief business officer for Tell Me Why and Jusant developer Don't Nod, a position he's had since 2014. In the press release, he said he was "proud to be joining Fragbite Group and taking over as CEO of Playdigious to start a new adventure in my career".
"I was lucky enough to work with Romain and Xavier many years ago, and since the creation of Playdigious, I have admired the colossal amount of work done by them and their team. I am really looking forward to taking the Company to the next level and contribute to Fragbite Group's growth", added Da Costa.
Playdigious made some changes in its management team. After July 3, Liard will work as Playdigious' senior strategic advisor on a part-time basis. The developer's new department for research and development will be led by his fellow co-founder Romain Tisserland.
One of the first games under the Playdigious Originals label, which was established with the goal of assisting smaller creators "showcase their creativity," will be Fretless: The Wrath of Riffson from Ritual Studios.
