Players Bombard Silent Hill 2 Remake Wiki Page with False Reviews

In other news, the famous Comic Sans sign is now resting in the trash.

Bloober Team

The Silent Hill 2 remake is getting released on October 8, but outlets and influencers have already received the game for reviews, which turned out to be "generally favorable" on Metacritic, with 86-87 points given by critics.

Some people could not accept this fact and decided to fight their battles through edits of the game's Wikipedia page. The ongoing "IP vandalism" where users claimed, for example, that Silent Hill 2 received "overwhelmingly negative" reviews, pushed the community to make the article semi-protected. Here is a little piece of what upset fans put on the page:

"It is considered to be the worst remake ever and worst game of 2024 thus far. Unity-Chan, who is known for being the non-fictional Japanese mascot of the Unity game engine, sued Konami into oblivion for $163 trillion for making one of the most blatantly shittiest game in history. She eventually won & Komani was forced to pay that said value & went out of business the day after. Her victory in the lawsuit led to her transforming into a futanari with ginormous..." You probably don't want to know what it said after that, but here is the link just in case.

This "feedback" was likely caused by the visual changes to the characters, at least partly. Especially hotly fans discussed Angela and the Nurses, who don't have as much cleavage now.

Bloober Team

Moving on to something more fun, Bloober Team has replaced the infamous Comic Sans font in the Silent Hill Ranch sign, which appeared in the HD Collection, with something more acceptable (and boring). You might think they just changed the font and were done with it, but players have found the old version in the trash, hidden out of bounds.

The remake has more changes in store than just the sign and some costume differences. Bloober Team added a 90s filter and the option to turn off the interface elements, but most noticeably, they aged James and introduced a better combat design.

You will be able to enjoy the game on October 8 and express your own opinion, but I bet Metacritic's user score will be very different from what critics say.
