According to Jeff Grubb, the event may be held during the week of May 25 or even sooner.
Video game enthusiasts have much to anticipate next month, with numerous events being scheduled to unveil intriguing details about various titles from different publishers and creators. However, it appears that Sony intends to kickstart this month-long series of gaming events by hosting its own event a week earlier.
Renowned game journalist Jeff Grubb, who previously shared that the PlayStation Showcase would precede the Summer Game Fest, has now suggested that the event could take place in a few weeks. Grubb has updated his earlier prediction, noting that the showcase may happen during the week of May 25, but also pointing out that "it could happen earlier."
VGC's recent report supported this information, citing insider sources who indicate that the next major PlayStation Showcase is likely to take place either at the end of this month or in early June. This would position the event ahead of other notable shows planned for next month, such as the Summer Game Fest.
While nothing is officially confirmed, these insider reports have generally proven reliable in the past. Of course, even insiders can be mistaken at times. Nonetheless, it is clear that the PlayStation Showcase is on the horizon building excitement for PlayStation fans who are eager for more exciting news and updates.
Earlier, it was also reported that Konami would make an appearance at Sony's PlayStation Showcase, either towards the end of May or early June. Furthermore, sources indicated that Sony has an exclusive agreement with Konami for the Metal Gear series.
