PlayStation To Release LeBron James-Designed PS5 Accessories

Sony has teamed up with a popular basketball player LeBron James to release a limited edition PlayStation 5 accessories.

This collaboration is the first in the PlayStation Makers program, in which Sony partners with "passionate PlayStation fans who also happen to be some of the most exciting creators, athletes, actors, artists, gamers, and entertainers in pop culture today".

The PS5 accessories are designed with elements that are inspired by LeBron James and his "love for gaming and community," as PlayStation says. The accessories include the PS5 console cover and DualSense wireless controller, which have been co-designed by the basketball player.

According to Sony, the designs feature "personal imagery and adages that have been meaningful throughout his journey." In a statement shared on the PlayStation blog, James said that he hopes this collaboration to be "something that continues to inspire everyone who touches it, and that they have a little fun finding meaning in every detail."

The accessories will be available in select countries globally for a limited time, with pre-orders opening later this year.
