The series creator shared that the studio is considering releasing Gran Turismo on PC, although the plan is not cast in stone.
Over this year, we saw a number of first-party PlayStation exclusives being ported to PC, including Santa Monica's God of War, Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man, and Naughty Dog’s Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves. And, according to PlayStation Studios, there are more exclusives coming to PC in the future.
For now, it's unclear what games are planned to be ported, but it turns out that Polyphony Digital's Grand Turismo – the game series that has been a PlayStation exclusive for a quarter of a century already – might be one of them.
Speaking to GTPlanet, the series creator Kazunori Yamauchi shared that the studio is considering such an option. When asked whether the studio is planning to make a port of its renowned racing sim games, Yamauchi simply replied: "Yes, I do think so."
However, this plan is not cast in stone yet as, according to the developer, there are several difficulties related to making a Grand Turismo port.
"Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title," he explained. "There are not many platforms which could run the game in 4K/60p natively, so one way we make that possible is to narrow down the platform. It’s not a very easy subject, but of course, we are looking into it and considering it."
