Recreating Lighting From Arcane: League of Legends in Unreal

Check out this cool study by artist Iliya Klimov.

Iliya Klimov, a Lead Promo 2D Artist at Azur Games, shared a look at a cool lighting project he's been working on. One of the things that make Arcane work is how the art team used lighting to create a contrast for two worlds. Undercity of Zaun is filled with gloomy greenish lights that are mixed with warmer tones creating the right mood full of loneliness, danger, and poverty. Iliya tried to play with this atmosphere in Unreal and created a scene that captures the spirit perfectly. Check out the results below.

The artist wrote the scene was created using assets from Dekogon. Little is known about the process but we've already contacted the artist to do an interview about the scene. What would you like to know? Share your questions in the comments.
