Capcom shared the details of the upcoming horror game.
The remake of the famous Resident Evil 4 is quickly coming, and with it – new details about the gameplay.
The biggest change Capcom shared in a new cover story for Game Informer is that the game will not have quick-time events. What the remake will have is sidequests, which include solving puzzles and tracking down and killing an enemy. To collect them, you'll have to find blue flyers scattered around the RE4 world.
Another interesting change is that you can carry multiple knives, which will break after they exhaust their durability. You can even complete the whole game with a knife in your hand.
Ashley behaves differently in the remake, the developers tried to make her "more like a natural companion". She doesn't hide in dumpsters anymore and doesn't have a health bar. When she takes too much damage, she'll get downed and need to be revived. If not, she will die. She doesn't stay in one place and can be asked to do functional things like opening doors.
There are also new weapons and enemies, so we have a lot to look forward to.
