Respawn and Oculus Documentary Gets an Oscar

Congrats to the team behind the short!

Respawn Entertainment and Oculus got this year's Academy Award for Best Documentary (Short Subject) at the 2021 Oscars ceremony for the team's in-game film, Colette.

Colette is a 25-minute documentary created by Anthony Giacchino and Alice Doyard. It was co-produced by Respawn and Oculus. The project is a part of Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, a recent VR game.

The documentary follows Colette Marin-Catherine, a French Resistance fighter who comes back to Germany for the first time since World War 2.

Respawn is currently busy with other projects, and they have recently confirmed they are creating a brand new IP.
