Respawn Is Officially Making Three Star Wars Games

The team is managing a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, an FPS, and a strategy game.

EA revealed Respawn Entertainment is now managing three new titles in the Star Wars universe. The publisher also announced the titles are a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, an FPS, and a strategy game. Little is known about the release date or platforms as of this moment.

The first is a sequel to the critically acclaimed Jedi: Fallen Order sequel which will reportedly continue the story of Cal Kestis. The next one will be a first-person shooter led by Peter Hirschmann (previously VP of development at LucasArts, co-creator of Medal of Honor).

The third title is described as a strategy game developed by Bit Reactor, a recently-formed studio that hired Firaxis Games veterans. Bit Reactor is said to work closely with Respawn on the new project.

"We had been building a few prototypes and concepts for games and we were chatting with our friends at Respawn about a few of them when out of the blue I got a call from Vince and he asked me my thoughts on making a Star Wars game," said Bit Reactor CEO Greg Foerstch. "I had one of the most important voices in the industry asking me about creating a game within the most impactful franchise in the world and richest storylines in the history of entertainment. So here we are, and I can't express how excited we are to be building a Star Wars strategy game here at Bit Reactor."
