Roblox Attracts Over 10 Million Fans on PlayStation in One Week

Another success for the game.

A week ago, Roblox Corporation overcame its concern for children and released the game on PlayStation. It has attracted enormous attention in this one week, ranking third in the percentage of PlayStation users that played the title at least once, according to Circana.

Now, a new report from Axios states that since the release, Roblox has been downloaded over 10 million times on the platform, a great, if unsurprising, success.

Roblox has been on PC, Xbox, and mobile for a long time but finally reached PlayStation only on October 10. In an internal document revealed at the FTC/Microsoft trial, PlayStation boss Jim Ryan explained that he was reluctant to accept it because of the large number of children playing the console, "We have been very careful with regards to opening them up to anything that could potentially exploit them."

Roblox has long stopped being just a game for kids. The company is actively developing its technologies and trying to establish a profitable scene for in-game creators. It has introduced tools to make clothes fit any body type, new AI tech, subscriptions, and better conditions for content makers. The latest hot topic from the studio, however, was its CEO, David Baszucki, telling the employees to either work from the office three days a week or find another job.
