Roblox has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter as well as the fiscal year 2021. According to the report, the company's revenues saw a 108% growth reaching $1.9 billion. The company also noted that the number of daily active users during the year was 45.5 million displaying a 40% year-on-year increase.
As for the fourth quarter of 2021, Roblox's revenue increased by 83% over the same period last year to $568.8 million, while the company's bookings grew 20% reaching $770.1 million.
Despite Roblox's overall growth, it is gradually decelerating compared to the earlier years since the boost caused by the pandemic slowly decreases. As reported by Bloomberg, the platform's metrics fell short of Wall Street expectations, with Roblox shares consequently falling by 14%.
Roblox also reported an increase in net losses – during Q4 2021 it was143.3 million (25 cents a share). In comparison, the company's net loss over the same period the year earlier amounted to $58.7 million (30 cents a share).
